For more than seven decades combined, Coach B Wright and Coach C Wright have shaped lives far beyond the scoreboard.
Coach B Wright served 45 years in Phenix City Schools as a Defensive Coordinator,
Basketball Coach, and Athletic Director, leading with strategy, structure, and steadfast love for
the game. He modeled how sports can shape character, but also how discipline in athletics
mirrors discipline required for academic success.
Coach C Wright dedicated 45 years to teaching and 33 years to coaching Track, Volleyball,
and Basketball at Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama—reviving programs, inspiring
confidence, and modeling perseverance rooted in faith, gratitude, and a deep belief in education
as a path forward.
Their journeys—one strengthened by the power of village, the other transformed by the
kindness of community—reflect the heart of this foundation. Both coaches understand what it
means to be given a chance and to give one back.
Now honored in the Alabama High School Athletic Association Sports Hall of Fame and soon to
be inducted into the Chattahoochee Valley Sports Hall of Fame in Columbus, Georgia, the
Wrights are turning their personal victories into purpose.
